The H3Sensing project, funded by the French National Research Agency, focuses on the effects of heat outside and inside buildings on health.
We have just completed data collection for the H3Sensing study in October 2025. We recruited 180 participants in the Île-de-France region, for whom we collected data using sensors and smartphones over four days in the spring and four days in the summer. We collected data on the building and residential accommodation, on the microclimate environment in the bedroom and during travel, and on thermal discomfort, physiology, and sleep. This data will provide a better understanding of the effects of outdoor and indoor heat on health and enable recommendations to be made for better heat management.
